Unusually, the art of graffiti is also held during the carnival and artists from all over Greece come to show their talent. The grand parade on Sunday is a spectacular case and the parties that will continue well into the night.
For tourists Rethymno has an unusual combination of attractions that few places can match. It is without doubt one of the most beautiful cities of Crete, perhaps in this part of the Mediterranean, with its "Olde worlde" village streets, picturesque port and sandy beach out of town.

If you come here during the high season is a lively place, fun, with lots of running and with a lot of people having fun. The beach is great, so it is usually busy port area is mainly small bars and restaurants.
