Where is the best in Crete for a holiday?
I want to go on holiday to Crete as this will be my first holiday and ALWAYS I would like some advice on the whereabouts to go. I do not want to go somewhere very touristy with McDonalds and the like. I want authentic Greek restaurants and not a British shop in sight! I also want beautiful white sand beaches. Has anyone been that can give some advice?
You can go to Chania and Rethymno, best places in Crete. It has wonderful beaches, amazing caves, historical monuments, and of course, authentic Greek restaurants Tavernes, as we call them. Chania and Rethymno, that are close to each other, are two amazing places in Crete is in fact half of Crete, but if you have the time to visit everything. Oh! And do not forget to visit Fragokastello, where people say, in the center of the work may, soldiers, Drosoulites, ride their horses. They say they're ghosts. I do not know if they are real ghosts, but I've seen and is something that nobody has to lose!
