If you want to see the islands, and so much ancient history, then def., Crete! Costa Rica and the Cayman Islands are parents beach. Yes that is great but may get bored. Instead of Crete you get the best of both worlds, if that is something you are wanting to do on your vacation. Hey, you can learn something and enjoy the water too. Furthermore, it is Greece! The beautiful old white building overlooking the ocean! Awesome!
