Travel to Greece in November or January?

I have my reservations for the last day of December 8 to go to Greece, but they have now released an appointment and I am able, if I can pay the change fee of $ 250 to start my trip in mid-November. I'd rather go sooner than later and absorb the fee, but can anyone offer the advantages and disadvantages between these dates (mid-November or January 1) for the entry of Greece through Athens, then a ferry to Crete for a long expected retirement of some long anyway. I'm traveling with my dog kilo in May and finally find some kind of monthly rate of rent, any suggestions – the area of choice is Chania! although all of Greece is very nice indeed. I hope I can live so long … I would appreciate any good ideas or suggestions for or against, or anything in relation to all. Efkaristo policies.

The time seems equally good in November, as long as their final destination is Chania. That at least one month for last recent years has been quite dry, with many sunny days. If you are lucky and the pattern repeats then you won several days of light solar and heat. Chania, Crete, being in southern Greece has a climate somewhat warmer than northern Greece say, but more wind. Apart from being a lively, so large enough to not feel safe in. In addition, Crete is a large island offers many places to visit and see. January is certainly more rainy, but with time can not really predict how it may be. Fall is a beautiful period anywhere in Greece with many beautiful colors, why not enjoy it? A fact more the place is full of people, not by tourists and certainly has a different atmosphere. My advice is for November. It has more to offer. Anyway happy retirement and happy moments.
