Santorini or Chania is the best place to visit in Greece for a soon-to-be married couple?
My boyfriend is in Afghanistan and we are planning to go to Greece by his mid-tour leave. I want to be able to relax and worry that the plan to spend 2 days in Athens, the weather in Chania and time could Santorini be too much to fit in about 13 days (counting travel time). He thinks it would be great and I saw Chania Crete is nice, but it's best for romance and culture? Chania or Santorini? There are 3 different places to try too? We stop outside the airport which will come in too. Any itinerary ideas or advice? helpful is appreciated!
It depends on what month we're talking. If it's September, I'd go for 2 nights in Athens and the rest in Santorini. As you mention that your boyfriend needs rest, three destinations too. If we are talking about October, then I would go to the island of Rhodes, which is much warmer in October. If you go there, you can also visit some surrounding islands. Symi is beautiful.
